""Announcement: 11/21/2007

Mr. Richard Zicarelli, Engr. Manufacturing Center Lab Manager, recognized in "Wildest Parts" competition. (Click here to see Pictures)

Excerpt from letter addressed to Dr. Mirmiran from Dan Newby, CNC Software, Inc.:

Florida International University instructor, Richard Zicarelli, submitted a part for the Wildest Parts competition this spring. The annual Mastercam Wildest Parts competition is all about creativity. It is always so interesting to see the diversity of parts submitted for this contest. Mr. Zicarelli's part, a 3D FIU themed football, was fabricated as part of a demonstration for the FIU Engineering Gala. His part, of all the parts submitted in all categories, received the highest score. It had a very nice finish and everyone was impressed by the fact that the part had been done as a demonstration. This part will be among the Wildest Parts that will be traveling with us to shows in the Wildest Parts display case.

On the entry form, Mr. Zicarelli stated that his goal is, "To give back to my students the knowledge I have gained over the past 30 years of my career." We here at CNC Software truly appreciate instructors like Mr. Zicarelli who are focused on students and on recruiting and developing the next generation of manufacturing professionals.
