Mission Statement
The ISE Department is committed to providing an excellent education to our students so that graduates of the BSISE program can function effectively as ISE professionals. Our Students should be problem solvers, ethical professionals, independent learners, decision makers, and systems designers. Moreover, our students should have the people skills required to interact effectively in the workplace.
Student Learning Outcomes
FIU Industrial and Systems Engineering graduates should be able to do the following:
Content/Discipline Knowledge
1) An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
2) An ability to design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data
3) An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs
4) An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
5) An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice
6) Be able to design, analyze, implement, & manage effective production & service systems
