Dr. Centeno received her Ph.D. from Texas A & M University in 1990. She has been with the ISE department since 1993, and in 1997 she became an associate professor. She has been principal investigator in several NASA projects, and she has been a visiting researcher at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
