Dr. Chen is a Professor and Graduate Programs Director in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Florida International University (FIU). He also serves as the Director for the Enterprise Systems Engineering Laboratory at FIU. Dr. Chen’s research interest is in the areas of enterprise systems engineering, manufacturing operations, CAD/CAM automation, product/system design methodology, information technology, engineering management, and systems modeling, analysis, optimization, and integration. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1985.
