Dr. Resnick is an associate professor at Florida International University in the department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Industrial and Operations Engineering in 1990 and 1993 respectively. He received a B.S. in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University in 1989. He has been Director of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory at FIU since 1993. He also serves as Director of the Institute for Technology Innovation, part of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center.
Dr. Resnick has done research for the National Science Foundation, NASA, and private companies in the areas of Usability Engineering, Search User Interface Design, E-commerce, Naturalistic Decision Making, Consumer Product Labeling, and Human Reliability. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles based on his research in these and other areas.
Dr. Resnick sits on the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Technical Program Committee of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. He serves as an Associate Editor of Human Factors, the premier journal in the field. |
